Music Cue Spotlight: Man's Best Friend

Composer's Notes: My intention with this cue was to create something that I felt represented happiness and innocence. It is composed in the same vein as those dog and cat videos that permeate Facebook and other social media.

The cue beings with a solitary nylon string guitar plucking pattern, which is soon joined by a quarter note counter melody performed on xylophone. Soon after, a cymbal hit on drums pulls us into the full cue, with full drums and bass. The kick and snare mirrors the rhythm of the guitar, and eventually another counter melody is laid over top with even more xylophone. After another repetition we get a new variation on the bass line, and finally we reach the end of the cue. Short, sweet and to the point.
