"Choose Hard Podcast Suite" – Composed by Gus D. Cadle

I had the pleasure of being commissioned by Cody McBroom of the Choose Hard Podcast to compose and record a brand-new 15-20 second intro and outro tune. Cody, a fitness and lifestyle entrepreneur, recently passed the 1,000th episode of his Tailored Life Podcast and was looking to rebrand with a fresh sound that reflected his mission.

Crafting the Sound of "Choose Hard"

Cody was very specific about what he wanted (which I love). His request: "Make me an East Coast 90s hip-hop beat in the style of the Wu-Tang Clan that embodies our mantra of always choosing what’s hardest, and therefore most meaningful, in life."

🎤 Old-School Hip-Hop Influence – As a longtime fan of the Wu-Tang Clan, this project was an absolute joy to create. Their gritty beats and raw energy were essential listening for me back in high school, so crafting something in that style felt like a full-circle moment.

💪 A Theme of Resilience – The Choose Hard Podcast encourages listeners to embrace challenges as the path to personal growth, and I wanted the music to reflect that same grit and determination.

🎧 The Extended Suite Version – While the original request was for a short intro and outro, I expanded the composition into a full suite, allowing for a deeper musical journey through the themes of perseverance and ambition.
