Hans Zimmer on simplicity in writing themes

"Every kid at one point or another walks up to the piano and picks out the opening notes of Mozart's 5th. (G G G Eb, F F F D) He knew, somehow, that out of those notes, he could build castles in the sky, he could invent something; he could tell a story with those notes. They are so simple.
