Become Undone

The downfall starts right here with me,
A slave to what I could have been,
The axe it falls right here, but you've seen,
A truth unspoken's a lie within,
And if I could, you know I would,
But I know better, unfortunate you,
So I'm no good, you're misunderstood,
But you're no better, we're long overdue.
We've come too far, to come undone,
We've fought so hard, but come undone,
The past we've known, it comes undone,
A life set in stone, become undone.
The bombshell lands right here on me,
I gasp for breath as the room spins,
A pain not foreign enough it seems,
Direct kin to what marks my skin,
But there I stood, you knew that I would,
So you know better unfortunately,
You know you should, but you're no good,
So raise an umbrella to the debris,
We've come too far, to come undone, We've fought so hard, but come undone, The past we've known, it comes undone, A life set in stone, become undone.
